Mordern art and crafts where the visitors are the artists. All create as per their personal, wild, untamed creative needs. A ritual which started in a small way 21 years ago at a beach fest in San Francisco is today a big festival in Black Rock Desert for wich each year a full infrastructure is developed.
Festival: The burning man festival:
• Venue: Black Rock Desert, Nevada
• Theme: “Hope and Fear: The Future.”
• Date: August 28th to September 4th
• Entry fees run: $185 to $280 ( price depends on when you purchase the ticket)
• Must bring: sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, face masks and googles, small gifts to share, sleeping bags, personal showers(or body wipes)and definitely carry bags for thrash.
Repeat visitors bond with old friends while new ones thrill as well as try to chill in the hot, dusty days .The desert tries to beat you down with sandy winds and scorching heat. Here its back to tribal times where everything works on barter system nothing but ice and beverages are sold. Well if you have the spirit to live and work collaboratively, to enjoy an exotic , utopian party then do’t miss this fest.
