It happens all too often—the husband loves camping, and the wife hates it, or vice versa. The smart camper will find out the objections of the camping-hater and try to alleviate them. Is the tent too cold? Get a camper, if you can afford it, or a safe little tent heater. Buy hand-warmers and place them inside the sleeping bag. Does the food taste like charcoal? Get a portable stove and some pans. Do the mosquitoes bother your spouse too much? Insect repellent is obviously the answer. If someone could just invent the perfect gadget that turns a camping hater into an adventure lover, they could probably make a fortune. With online marketing, they could be sold worldwide. People have been camping all over the world since man first evolved. The first thing to do, of course, would be to get a patent. Then hire someone who does affiliate marketing to get the word out for you. You want to show up in all the search engines and blogs. Marketing is an adventure of its own. It is important to market through reputable sources so you can develop a good reputation for you product. What would be the perfect product to turn your camp-hater into an adventure lover? Maybe you need an “instant beach” to turn your mountain retreat into a sunny paradise for your spouse. Okay, that’s a little tougher, but a little consideration for your spouse goes a long way. If they really love the beach, perhaps a lakeside campground is a good option. If your spouse would rather read a book than hike, take along a comfy camp chair or lounge. If they really hate campfire smell, offer to do the cooking over a propane stove. With a little preparation, you can turn your love of camping into a family adventure.
