The region has been popularised for rafting and bunjee jumping. Nile Horseback Safaris last month announced the introduction of horseback safaris with a variety of packages available to adventure seekers.
They are quoted to have said
‘We keep several beautiful Thoroughbred horses, all well schooled and trained. Popular safaris are the two-hour river and village rides or the wonderful luxury overnight package, staying at a beautiful riverside lodge,’
This will definitely add to Jinja’s tourism.
Rates: 2 hour ride (minimum)- US$40 pp, 3 hour ride- US$50 pp, Every further hour- US$10 pp
The trip can be made in combination with other adventure sports like rafting and canoeing.
