ziptrek snowziptrek river

Get a taste of the ape like ability of your ancestors. Ziptrek above treetops relish the trill as you move along the wire. The adventure also includes a host of information on the rainforest and its flora and fauna. Ziptrekking means putting on the helmet and safety, body harness then being hooked onto steel ziplines and plunging 300 metres or more down through the treetops. One gets to zip above the spectacular view of the river which divides Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

One steps off the abyss, sitting back on their harness, picking up speed along the way . As you arrive at the next platform, the guides apply the brakes. Proceeds along the same lines across the next length of wire. Ecotours offer five incredible zipline rides that gain progressively in height and length with the longest spanning over 1100ft.
The Ziptrek tour is located near Whistler village in Blackcomb mountain covering the Fitzsimmons creek valley.
Though this area is most popular as a skiing destination, it holds a lot of other treats for thrill seekers. White water rafting, Bungee jumping, Mountain biking, Robert Cupp-designed Golf course at the foot of Mount Currie as well as numerous hikes and trails.
