After working through 13 pair of shoes David Cornthwaite is about to complete his 3,600-mile journey on skateboard that began from Perth and is going to end at Brisbane.

With multiple blisters and throbbing ankles, toes and feet, have kept him in almost continuous pain for the last six weeks. The scorching heat of 40C, made him finish a dozen tubes of sunscreen.

Despite all, he is really happy at having broken the previous record set by American Jack Smith who covered 3,000 miles across the US in 2003. Moreover the charity trek will raise £50,000.
