The only stand-alone surfing event of women in South Africa will be scheduled on December 1, 2 and 3, 2006. ROXY WAHINE CUP, presented by Roxy is entering in its eighth year. The event has five segments, namely ‘Novice’ Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 as well as the premier Open Division. In the novice division the winner gets one years full sponsorship from Roxy. This year organizers are expecting more entries as every year the event is gaining popularity amongst teen girls.
This highly contested event will take place on East and West coasts simultaneously at prime beaches across the seashore. The participants will be trained by eminent surfers Kenny Matthews (KZN), Riehan Slabbert (Eastern Province) and Roxy Towill (Western Province).
