Learn the techniques of professional skiing at the MacKenzie-Intervale Ski Jumping Complex in lake Placid. Ski jumpers train daily at these sites, operated by the New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA).You get to ride to the top of the 26 story, 120 meter ski jump in a glass enclosed elevator! You also get to see the experts perform.
Kodak Soaring Saturdays are slated for August 12 and 19 at the Ski jumping complex, while Kodak Wet and Wild Wednesdays play out on August 9, 16 and 23 at the Kodak Sports Park. You can watch the Russian Olympic freestyle team at the Sports park.
Entrance is at $12 for adults and $7 for juniors and seniors from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This includes the chairlift alongside the ski jump landing hills and the 26-story elevator ride to the top of the 120 meter ski jump tower for extraordinary views of the Adirondack High Peaks
