With a whooping $850,000 as prize money, all 15 participants will be giving their best shot at the World Water skiing championships in Enniskillen from August 11-13. Rodney Watson the Irish champion made it to the finals after competing in Kildare last weekend.
He is quoted to have said
“These guys are professionals. They do it for a living, whereas I just do it for fun at night and after work.”
With such a large sum as prize money he will surely give his professional best. Through 15 years of competition, Rodney has been victorious in Ireland, the UK and Europe.
