If you like to sweat it out on your mountain bike then The Remarkables, of New Zealand are your cup of tea. This popular skifield(July to October ) is one of only two mountain ranges in the world which run directly north to south.
This sure is a cycle friendly country, plans on becoming one of the leading cycling nations in the world and if you don’t want a very tough ride you could go in for helibiking.

Climate: The mild climate makes it ideal for cycling all year round. On the South Island, the hot katabatic wind that sweeps across the Canterbury Plains during summer can cause a lot of discomfort.
Tip: Carry plenty of water to avoid the possibility of dehydration.
You can always hire a bike while out there or opt for a package tour.
