The future generations might not be able to see the wonders of amazing glacial ice rivers because eventually the glaciers will melt into the oceans due to global warming. But while they are there one must take a trip to hike and trek around them.



The most popular tourist picks of New Zealand are Franz Jose and Fox glaciers. The former is named after emperor Franz Josef of Austria . It descends from the top of the Southern Alps into a rainforest 300 metres above sea level and forms part of some of New Zealand’s most spellbounding views.



Fox glacier is just next to , it was named after New Zealands prime minister William Fox. The outflow of the glacier forms the Fox River.
