Torah Bright perfect landings helped her finish on top . She scored 85.00 in her first run and a perfect 94.66 in the second run.
The blonde Aussie finished 5th in Halfpipe at the Torino Olympics and took three consecutive pipe wins. Energetic at 20 she stands 5 feet 4 inches. She took gold after defeating champion and local hometown hero, Gretchen Bleiler who fumbled in her second run getting just 40.
Bright is quoted to have said:
You always enter a competition wanting to have your best runs and this was one of my best contest runs ever, And all the Aussie fans out there were incredible.
The bronze went to 17-year-old South Lake Tahoe, California native Elena High.
